I feel legit bad for the T230, it was a fine little car that became the baked potato for the Fast and Furious crowds sour cream and chives.

A friend of mine dated a girl in about 2003 and she had a Celica like that, but dark blue. She had the hood scoop as well as the hood spoiler, and the TRD body kit. On a base-model Celica with the 138-hp 1ZZ and a four-speed automatic. With hubcaps.
Her goal for that car was to get it into a Fast and Furious movie. That never happened.

I’m not sure if that hood spoiler could be installed when the car was purchased, but it was an actual factory/TRD part.

In this instance...yes. I was speaking more generally (example, those non-factory wing mirrors) but yeah, even Toyota couldn’t resist cashing in on that trend.
